How to Get ERFS Certificate with A&K Tokyo Apartments
Accommodation + ERFS Program
A&K Tokyo is an authorized ERFS provider. We can provide the ERFS certificate for our guests who reserve a stay for 7 nights or more. You can then use the certificate when you apply for the visa to the Japanese embassy. If your visa is denied, we refund your fees.
Typical room rates for this program are between 80 to 90 USD per night, plus a fee for the certificate issuance. For more information about our accommodations, please see our main page. If your dates are full, ask us about alternative properties not listed on this site.
Since starting the program in March 2022, we've helped many people come to Japan on Short-Term Business Visit and Working Holiday visas. Please note our certificates cannot be used for Tourism only.

How ERFS Works
What is ERFS?
The "Certificate for Completion of Registration issued by the ERFS", or the "ERFS certificate" for short (J: 受付済証, uketsuke zumisho)" is an official document needed to apply for a student, worker, business, or working holiday visa to Japan.
The certificate shows that a Japanese organization will be jointly responsible for the traveler's conduct during their initial entry/re-entry period, especially COVID-19 health checks and quarantine rules, under the government's ERFS (Entry/Re-Entry Follow-Up System).
Who can provide the ERFS Certificate?
The ERFS Certificate is issued on behalf of the Japanese Ministry of Health, Labor, and Welfare (MHLW) by an authorized provider ('Receiving Organization') that will guide the traveler during their entry.
In most cases, the main visa sponsor or inviter provides the Certificate. However, there is no restriction - a separate company can also act as the Receiving Organization for ERFS, such as a travel agency, or A&K Tokyo.
A&K Tokyo is authorized by MHLW as a Receiving Organization for ERFS under the Accommodation (宿泊) category. If you need a third-party ERFS, we're here to help!

- Provision of ERFS is subject to security check and room availability.
- Our normal rates available for instant booking do not include ERFS service.
- We do not offer visa sponsorship or employment.
- We are authorized to issue ERFS certificates for non-tourist visa types only. Consider applying for a Business Visit or Working Holiday visa.
- Visa approval depends on many factors, so we can not guarantee that Japan will approve your visa, even if they accept our ERFS certificate.
- If your visa is denied, we refund your fees.
